THE EVENT
In celebration of Da Ghetto Tymz' 12th Anniversary and ConsciousHiphop.com's
3rd, 'MicCheck Vol.One' the series, will begin Saturday, April 9th, 2005
at Akbar Hall (1174 Bedford Av), in the heart of Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, New
York. Doors open at 8pm. This event will feature some of New York and the
surrounding burroughs most talented artist's and a 5-segmented fashion
show complete with vendors. Following the show will be a 2 hour party with
scheduled DJ Reborn on the wheelz.
From poetry to singing to mceeing, the lineup for this night will definitely move the crowd, educating you while entertaining you. And the mood would not be right if we didn't have an assortment of Afrikan-owned vendors sellin' exclusive artifacts and tantilizing dishes.
