FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MCV2: MICCHECK VOLUME TWO: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2005 The saga continues… In celebration of Da Ghetto Tymz magazine's 12th Anniversary and ConsciousHiphop.com's 5th , MCV2 (MicCheck Volume Two) will continue its series, Friday, September 23rd, 2005 at Medgar Evers College (1650 Bedford Av), in the heart of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York. Doors open at 6pm , show is from 7 - 10pm . This event will feature some of New York ’s most talented artist's plus a 3-segmented fashion show complete with vendors. From Hiphop and Rock'n'Roll to Poetry, R&B and GhettoTrance music, the lineup for this night will definitely move the crowd, educating while entertaining you. And the mood would not be right if we didn't have an assortment of Afrikan-owned vendors selling exclusive artifacts as well as several community organizations like MXGM (the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement), lettin' you know what's good in the hood! Sparking off the second installment of ‘MicCheck: The Series,’ MCV2 will be blessed with the revolutionary metal sounds of Malene Younglao; the mellow eclectic sound of Jeremy James; the sultry resonance of Sparla Swa; Hiphop rejuvenators Jahmed and Faro Z; rebel wordsmith Ainsley Burrows; with our franchise host, Radha Blank and DJ Blackheart on the wheels. MCV2 will go down at New York ’s only Traditional Black College & University, Medgar Evers College (MEC) in the Founder’s Auditorium located at 1650 Bedford Ave between Crown & Montgomery in Crown Heights , Brooklyn . General Admission will be $10, $5 Students. Sponsored by MEC’s own MDEC (Male Development & Empowerment Center), MXGM (Malcolm X Grassroots Movement) and THe GIFt Agency, LLC, MCV2 promises to be one of the top shows in Brooklyn for 2005. The crowd will be blessed with a wealth of information plus MicCheck Volume One’s Interactive CD Project FREE to the first 300. This is a 3-in-1 CD showcasing mini-websites of each artist & designer who performed at MCV1 and classic back issues of Da Ghetto Tymz magazine. A MCV2 Interactive CD Project is soon to follow. This show launches the second of a series.
