"White folk problem is Black folk. Black folk problem is wanting to be accepted by White folk. This is a water and oil problem Black folk have yet to realize." — M'Bwebe Ishangi

Although we near the verdict of whether an American-Afrikan will be given four more yearz in the White House, we remain in a country who still refuses to rid itself of the color barrier despite 50 yearz post the Civil Rights era.

Inside these borderz where well over 95% are not native [including, and more importantly, the less discussed history of how white folk came here (mainly through the use of colonial and barbaric tactics)], there are many differences, often deemed culturally deficient simply because they are foreign to YT.

While it may say the American creed on the doorsteps, we know once inside this is a mere facade. The only thingz 'black' (or Afrikan) about America's melting pot theory are the color of the pot and the burnt remainz on the bottom—representing the true feelingz toward our people.

If it's not the color-biased lawz of crack vs. cocaine sentences (now 18 to 1), it's the post 2008 voter ID regulation in increasing states just in time for this yearz election—although I'm no supporter of the vote.

The latest example was headline newz a few weeks ago, right before the Presidential election. And although it may seem irrelevant to poli-tricks, it is political indeed.

On October 12, 2012, NFL Quarterback, Michael Vick of the Philadelphia Eagles, publicly acknowledged he is now a dog owner after being tried and found guilty as Ringleader of a dog fighting operation where many were abused and even killed after losing fights.

In 2007, Vick was arrested and served 18 months in prison in addition to losing millionz of dollarz in product endorsements. PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and dog loverz around the world painted him the devil incarnate.

Just a few months after Vick's sentencing, on May 3, 2008 at the 134th Kentucky Derby 'Eight Belles', a horse who finished 2nd place out of 20 in the race, broke both front ankles after the race and was euthanized (a white-collar term for 'killed') right on the track—in front of specatorz!

When you know what lead up to this injury (the nature of the sport), this too was a heinous act, all the while, YT remained focused on Vick—giving him extra hell most likely because it was something they were unfamiliar with—quickly labeling his acts blasphemous with some even wanting him receiving the death penalty; yet nothing about 'Eight Belles'.

Now let's not get it twisted, although dogz have been given the title 'man's best friend', a lot of whitefolk see horses in the same light! Because Vick's acts come from a ethnic background in many parts of America unbeknownst to whitefolk, it gave many closet bigots the opportunity to revisit their their racist taunts toward Vick when he was reinstated to the NFL in 2009. Today many continue to demonize him with PETA at the forefront:

With newz of Vick's new dog becoming viral over that weekend, it took me back to 2007-08 when we saw the ego of Vick literally chiseled down to the now soft spoken, 'thankful-I'm-out-of-jail-and-can-continue-doing-what-I-do-best…be-a-Jock' person we see now. But having this new "freedom" came with a cost.

Despite his forced PSAs and community service on animal cruelty, Vick still remainz the poster child of animal abuse in many (blue) eyes. Once a brash, ego-driven, and outspoken young man (for good reason; after all, Afrikan Quarterbacks still remain stereotyped as 'runnerz', intellectually unequal to their white counterpart), he has been humbled almost to a yes-man of sorts, "Yes, I'll speak against dog fighting. Yes, you can use my celebrity to speak against animal cruelty (except those operationz that are profitable)."

Ever notice of all those who've been attacked for animal cruelty like Vick and fashion modelz wearing animal skin (furz), no one, including PETA, has aggressively gone after the horse-racing industrial complex! Why? Probably because it is a mega-billion operation!

So if PETAs official motto is, "Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment", the real question should be "where is PETA and all you so-called animal loverz when it comes to otherz who do much worse, like, say, HORSE RACING!!" I mean, horse racing is a form of entertainment, correct?

This white-collar hustle not only results in these animalz literally being ran to their graves in a very short lifespan, what's done to them beyond the point of earning a profit is as alarming—far worse than what Vick has ever done!

First, it must note these horses are bred to participate in sure-to-happen injury-prone type activities: racing, equestrian, polo, etc. We humanz oftentymz can come back from an injury, but in most cases with horses, a leg injury can prove fatal even if it's not the leg injury that causes their death!

In 2011, 283 horses tumbled at FEI (International Equestrian Federation) competitionz. At least twelve event horses have died falling on jumps since the start of 2009 in the U.K. and U.S. alone. Since 2003, there have been more than 5000 horses put to death because of inability to produce—meaning, if a horse can't win races, it earnz no money! This is no different than Vick! So again I ask, where's PETA and all you animal loverz for Mr. Ed?!

(In defense of PETA, they did make statements about horse racing back in 2008:

"While the trainers, jockeys, and owners may weep their crocodile tears today over Eight Belles' euthanasia, they will be back on the track tomorrow, putting other horses at risk. Thoroughbreds are raced on hard dirt surfaces—like the one at Churchill Downs. Their bones simply can't take it, as Eight Belles' two broken front legs showed last night. Despite the wealth associated with thoroughbred racing, for the horses—most of whom end up broken, cast off, or sent to Europe to be killed for the dinner table—it's a dirty business and no better than dogfighting."

But not much as of late then, and there have been countless races since, thus, many more horses have been abused, injured, murdered, and served on hot plates around the world)

This is an unfortunate cyclical process where the life of the horse has no consideration, shortened by decades simply because it can no longer earn a buck! They come out of the womb running unaware of the very small window of life their owner bestowz on them based solely on their ability to earn profits for white families. And upon eventual injury, a small percentage are forced to breed while the rest sold for a fraction of it's earningz only to be cut up and shipped to various food markets and restaurants within a week after killed.

FROM THE STABLE TO THE TABLE IN 7 DAYZ...
A global "sport", Thoroughbred racing (and breeding) is a multi-billion dollar industry dominated predominately by white families. A major part of horse racing's economic importance lies in the gambling associated with it, an activity that in 2008 generated a world-wide market worth around US $115 billion—an amount dog fighting could only fathom being a fraction of!

With that said, a significant portion is made from purses, but "waste management"—or how they handle non-high performance stallionz—is the part swept under the rug.

In 2008, around the same time Vick was being tried, the 134th episode of the HBO series, 'Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel' aired a segment that exposed the industry's favorite saying, "Stable to table in 7 dayz". Basically, a horse that can't win races nor earn enough money is considered worthless—even if they once did win! Well we know there's only one winner per race and there are but so many purses each year; so when you do the math, that's a lot of winless horses!

The segment showed these losing horses are sold to one called the "meat man", who visits tracks every week looking to buy "unproductive" horses.

The show then aired a race in which a 4 year old horse named 'No Day Off' ran (interesting name, right?). She came in fourth in the race, which apparently wasn't good enough because the meat man was there to see her. They filmed with hidden cameras the horse being loaded on a trailer. The horse refuses and is beaten by her trainer until she enterz the trailer.

What's startling is the fact that although the life expectancy of horses can range from 25-40 yearz, 'No Day Off' was only 4! The trainer was asked why she's being sold and he replies she just "don't run too good". She was allowed to live only a quarter of her life! The next day she is taken to the Sugarcreek auction. 'No Day Off' exits the trailer first, followed by other horses from the track and enterz the kill pen. In the pen horses are shown fighting and in overcrowded conditionz. They also show a weak horse down, left for dead, while the otherz are sold off to their deaths.

A woman named Ms. Care tries to buy horses from the auction and has often been outbid by the kill buyerz. Unfortunately, nobody is able to save 'No Day Off' and she is sold to a kill buyer for $425. She's packed into a double decker trailer and sent to the slaughter house.

The segment endz showing a slaughter video where a horses is hit with the bolt gun at least 5 tymz while another horse struggles after having it's throat slit. The show states that one week they are treated like kings and the next week they're a meal… 'Stable to the table in 7 dayz'.

Reporter, Bernard Goldberg, commented about the closing of the 2006 slaughter plants in the United States saying that was good newz for American horses. The bad newz is that horses are crammed into double decker trailerz where they are shipped thousandz of miles on trips that last day and night to go across the border to slaughter plants. They then show a Canadian plant where they use a 22 rifle and a Mexican plant where they stab at the horses with knives. When the worker finally severz the spinal cord of the horse, he is applauded.

Today, the discussion of reopening slaughter houses buzz throughout the hallz of Congress. But it doesn't end there, we haven't talked about why they're killed. See, we talked about the 'Stable' but haven't dealt with the 'table'!

TO EAT? OR NOT TO EAT...
October or 2011, President Barack Obama quietly signed into law a spending bill that restored the American horse-slaughter industry, just a few months after a government investigation said the ban on slaughtering was backfiring. The domestic ban didn't end horse slaughter but instead shifted the site of butchery to Mexico and Canada—which meant increased abuse or neglect as the horses were shipped out of the country. Stephen Dinan of The Washington Times reported:

"The ban had been imposed in 2006 when Congress defunded the government's ability to inspect plants that butchered horses for consumption. Without inspections, the meat couldn't be sold, and the industry withered."

According to Wikipedia, horse meat is a major meat in only a few countries, notably in Central Asia, but formz a significant part of the culinary traditionz of many otherz, from Europe to South America to Asia. The top eight countries consume about 4.7 million horses a year.

But it's also been consumed on American soil. October 5, 2012, it was reported Hugue Dufour, a restaurant in Queens, New York announced the removal of horse meat from its meeting after pressure from 1300 animal-welfare advocates. It doesn't erase the fact that up until that time, it was available for hedz to eat! In fact, I learned they served 5000 grilled cheese sandwiches that included horse meat at a food festival May of 2012!

This goes back to my earlier mention of October 12, where Vick publicly acknowledged he is now a dog owner. It is crystal clear to me the hypocrisy of those who continue to demonize this Afrikan, yet speak nothing of what Horse racing in my eyes are bigots based on moral, economic, and cultural differences!

In summation, there really isn't that much of a difference between dog fighting and horse racing… just that dogz aren't cooked up and served at 5-Star restaurants! If you ask me, this is a clear example WHITE collar vs. Afrikan collar crime; but in this case, the white offenderz have yet to be brought to be judged and sentenced! Surprised? You shouldn't!

This is more than about Michael Vick being a vic(k)tim! This is about Afrikan people feeling the effects of racial prejudice. Trust, if YT saw they could make a profit in dog fighting, there'd be dog fighting pits on Pay Per View every other weekend like Mixed Martial Arts! Dare we forget the whole concept of the money lottery evolved from Afrikanz running numberz?!

Bless...
